On Sunday 29th June 2008, the women of LRTT took part in Cwmbran's Race for Life, in aid of Cancer Research UK.
Wearing T-shirts specially designed by Armadillo Creative and sponsored by LRTT, we all looked the part and were ready to 'do our bit'.
After a warm-up en masse, 2000 women ran, jogged or walked the 5k route, while thousands of friends, family and pets cheered on from the sidelines, which kept many of us going!
A special mention must go to Kerstin Stumpf our Technical Translator, who completed the whole course is just 28 minutes. Kerstin was one of the top ten to finish the race! The rest of us followed Kerstin over the line some time later, but we were all proud to have taken part and completed the race, raising money for a very worthy charity.
I would like to extend an enormous thank you to our design company, Armadillo Creative, who not only did a great job designing the T-shirts, but also did it free of charge! I must say that we all looked wonderful.
We had a fantastic day and raised lots of money (with a little help from the men of LRTT) for Cancer Research UK, so it was a great success. We have attached some photos of the day for you to see what a great time we had and also to prove that we did it!!
